Why I have a RIGHT to wine!

I’m not sure if you’ve heard about H.R. 5034 but if you like wine and would like the ability to have it directly shipped to your home, you should know about this! In short,  H.R. 5034 is legislation that may stop direct shipment of wine

from the winery to the consumer. Those in support of the legislation suggest one it may help decrease underage drinking/interception of alcohol. I don’t know about you but I can’t remember the last time a 17 year old told me they couldn’t wait for their next shipment of Peju Cabernet or Seghesio Zinfandel or that great Sauvignon Blanc that got a Wine Spectator rating of 94. Really? Could this be a pretty picture to cover up a more likely issue–more money for wholesalers? Well I’m not congresswoman, but I think it smells of sour grapes to me. So I’m taking the tour!
